What we Do..
Friday
Campers usually arrive on Friday. Some Weakenders arrive early in the day, others in the evening.
The monthly Wagonmaster greets each camper and helps them get into their spot.
Although it’s a free night, campers often have dinner together at the camp or at a local restaurant.
Weather permitting; we may even enjoy a campfire on Friday night. If not, members often visit each others rigs to chat, catch up, play cards or even watch a movie!
Saturday
On Saturday, the Wagonmaster may plan a group outing to a local location or special event. Members are free to explore the local attractions. Some visit the local shops and members often enjoy lunch together in town.
In the afternoon we enjoy a “Happy Hour” meeting for club business, snacks, beverages and group activities. This lasts until it’s time to get ready for dinner.
Saturday dinner is always a lively group affair and no one goes hungry! The Wagonmmaster may plan a meal where the entrée is provided by the club or it may be a Pot Luck Dinner and each camper brings what they like best.
The Saturday Night Campfire is always great fun! Nothing beats sharing a warm campfire with your friends. There may be jokes, laughter, singing with guitars and talking about your crazy RV adventures, travels and mishaps. The party ends when the wood is gone.
Sunday
Sunday morning is a group breakfast where we get together one last time before departing for home.
Some campers depart after breakfast, others may stay until the afternoon or even an extra day. (Often the venues extend the group rates to early arrival and/or late departure members)
All in all the weekend activities can be as much or as little and you desire. You can come to relax, read a book or explore the area and hang out with your Weakender friends.
We simply have a great time wherever we go.
